<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a continuous quenching layer extending two parts on a shaft- like work which successively forms the two parts having different outer diameters on the same line through a stepped part and forms a groove extended along the center line on the outer surface of only the one part in the two parts. SOLUTION: A line coil part 30 for heating a non-groove part 12 is connected in series with a spiral-state multi-coil part 20 surrounding the groove part 11 of the shaft-like work 10. The line coil part 30 has a first straight line part 31 extended along the center line of the non-groove part 12 and faced to this outer surface and a second straight line part 32 extended in the radius direction from the part of the first straight line part 31 so as to accompanyed with the stepped part 13. The stepped part 13 is heated by the second straight line part 32 and the heating of a part contacting with the stepped part 13 of the non- groove part 12 is promoted.</p> |
