<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a suitable setup method in hot finish rolling by calculating the coefficient of friction from forward slip and actual interstand tension of a rolled stock in a hot strip mill. SOLUTION: Signals of sheet speedometer 1, 2, signals of roll circumferential speedometers 3, 4 and result signal of a looper height detector 5 are inputted to forward slip computing elements 6, 7. The results of forward slip at every minute time are calculated with the forward slip computing elements 6, 7. The measured thickness of a thickness meter 9 at the point of time when the tip of a material 8 to be rolled is passed through the thickness meter 9 on the outlet side of the final stand (n), respective roll circumferential speeds of the stands n-1, (n) at that point of time and the results of forward slip calculated with the forward slip computing elements 6, 7 are inputted to a host computer 10. Next, at that point of time when the data are inputted, the signals of looper tensiometers 11, 12 arranged on the upstream side respective the final stand (n) and the adjacent stand n-1 on the upstream side of the final stand and tension signal 13 on the outlet side of the final finishing stand which are set on the side of a coiler are inputted to the host computer 10 and the coefficientμof friction is calculated.</p> |
