The voltage control device selectively supplies control pulses (P1,P2) to the gate electrode of a thyristor (V1,V2) in series with a resistor ((R1,R2) across the current regulator (CV1,CV2) for each drive motor, with the pulse-width dependant on the difference between the actual converter voltage and a reference voltage. Pref. the difference between the voltages is provided by a subtraction node coupled to a regulator with an integrator and a pulse width modulator providing the control pulses, selectively fed to one or other thyristor via a controlled switch. |
