The camera system has a remote shutter trigger/blocking unit (4) which normally allows the photograph to be taken. If the subject is not ready he/she can send a blocking signal from the unit (4) to lock the shutter trigger even when the camera shutter actuation button has been pressed. Release of the blocking signal allows the photo to be taken. The unit (4) is of a size such that it can be enclosed in the hand without being seen on the photograph.
