Vacuum pump equipped with initiating system and high current, low voltage power supply, whose positive pole is connected to the anode of the pump and negative pole connected to cathode of externally placed work chamber of the pump, characterised in that source of metal vapours created by surface of the cathode (K), while the anode (A) is created by grounded walls of the work chamber (KR).
