<p>The pruner consists of an hydraulic supply unit (1), which supplies pressurised fluid along one of two pipes (6,6a). The pipes are strapped to a pole (2) and are connected at the upper end of the pole to the cutting head (3). The cutting action is produced by the piston (4) of a double acting jack (5), which forms part of the cutting head. The cutting action is produced by the vertical motion of the lower cutter (7), which is driven by the piston, towards the upper fixed counter blade (8). The counter blade is formed at the end of the line of action of the jack and has the form of a linear section (8a), which forms a guide for the slide (7a) of the moving blade. The slide section terminates by a curved section (8b), against which the moving blade closes, and which forms a hook to enable the part to be cut to be held in place.</p> |
