The invention refers to a process for the treatment of water and surfaces in contact therewith, to prevent fixation and/or eliminate and/or control macroorganisms belonging to the animal kingdom, particularly mollusca, over said surfaces in contact with water, the process being characterized in that at least a biocide product and/or an active biostatic is used, which is injected to water and/or applied on surfaces, the active product or products comprising at least a polyamine of formula (I): in which formula R1 es an alkyl or alkenyl radical from 8 to 22 carbon atoms and/or at least a monoamiger between 0 and 3 (inclusive). The invention further refers to a composition injected to the water and a paint to cover the surfaces in contact with water.
