There is presented a golf ball having a core and a cover, the ball weighing 41 - 44.5 grams, and havrovided with a specific gravity of 1.01 - 1.09. The cover is provided with a specific gravity of 0.90 - 0.98 and a Shore D hardness of 40-65. The ball provides increased range when hit with slow to moderate club head velocity.
