Cleaning composition for use in removing ink comprising 65-90 % by weight of an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, 10-30 % by weight of a monohydric aliphatic alcohol containing 8-16 carbon atoms and 0.01-5 % by weight of emulsifier, which composition has a flash point of more than 80 DEG C, and contains at most 1 % by weight of aromatic hydrocarbons.
