The present invention discloses a device to degasify thermoplastic material having a first worm section (11) for the introduction of material to be treated. The plastified material passes through a connection channel (15) from a camera (10) of the worm section (11) to a filter (16) and from there through an inlet orifice (17) into a camera (18) of a second worm section (19) which carries material towards an outlet (21). A compacting section (28) is located between the two worm sections (11, 19), of the same axis, which prevents the filter (16) from being passed over. Compacting means (20) are arranged opposite an inlet orifice (17) which forces the plastic flow to take a hose-like shape. The compacting means (28) can be axially displaced, relatively towards the inlet orifice (17), said compacting means having a transversal section which narrows down in the direction of the second worm section (19), thereby decreasing the gas migrating path of bubbles being released from the plastic material in such a way that it enhances degasification through the degasifying orifices (20).
