The guide face (14) of the mould is formed convex to the process belt. The radius of convexity of the mould is selected to provide a face-locked belt run. The guide face may be formed convex to the process belt exclusively in the run direction of the belt, or in both the run direction and at right angles to it. The radius of convexity in the direction transverse to the run direction of the belt amounts to 80-150 m in the middle region (16) and 30-70 m on the run-off side (15).
