Angle measurement method for surveying - using time for laser radiation source to throw visible beam on surface, beam passing through adjustable shutter opening and sighting level region to be measured

The method measures the shutter time, in which the beam sweeps over the opening of the shutter (2). From the shutter time, taking account of the rotation of the beam (5), the angle is determined. The time measurement is activated by sensors (3) at the edges of the shutter opening. The rotation speed of the beam is measured, and the angle is computed from the shutter time and the rotation speed. The rotation speed is measured by pref. at least four stationary sensors in the movement range of the beam. A computer is provided with a pulse transmitter for measuring the time and determining the angle.
