The fixing unit has fuel lines attached to a lightweight sheet-metal body panel (1) in an automobile, using a holder (4) which is welded to the body panel, into which a plastics housing (8) is clipped. The housing has an opening (14) for a vent line and receives a vibration clamping element (15) with openings (16) for the fuel lines. A cover (17) hinged to the housing holds the vent line and the vibration damping element in position. Pref. the holder is only attached to the body panel at one point (4a) and is otherwise widely spaced from the body panel. ADVANTAGE - Prevents mechanical vibration and corrosion problems. Easily fixed.
