Shaped charge warhead, especially to defeat active or solid armour

The warhead has a shaped charge (1) with a solid stand-off probe (15). The latter is made from a heavy material, which may be steel or titanium, and has mechanical punching equipment (5) at its tip, in order to punch through active armour, or to detonate its explosive layer. At least one shoulder contact (6), which may be a piezo-electric transducer, is arranged in the connecting region between the probe and the warhead casing (4), in order to initiate the shaped charge on striking active armour. The warhead also has additional equipment which is activated by deceleration, in order to initiate the charge on striking solid armour.
