The distribution device has a number of evenly spaced carrier profiles (2) to which switching equipment (4) is secured via angle rails (3). Each two adjacent angle rails face in opposite directions, or face in the same direction but are mounted on different sides of the carrier profile. Pref. two adjacent carrier profiles are provided with two angle rails facing in the same direction and mounted on the opposite carrier profile sides. Also, a third angle rail is provided, which faces in the opposite direction to the adjacent angle rail that is mounted on the same side of the carrier profile as the latter.
