A crib (10) having a headboard (12), a footboard (18), and opposite side gates (20, 22) surrounding a horizontal mattress support platform (30) adjustably attached to the headboard (12) and footboard (13) and being selectively positionable at various levels. One of the side gates (22) is removable to facilitate placement of the child bed (10) alongside a parent's bed (100) such that the mattresses are disposed in adjacent, co-planar relation. An apron (40) attached to the mattress support platform (30) is extendable for insertion in sandwiched relation between the mattress (110) and a mattress support (112) of the parent's bed (100), effectively interconnecting the crib (10) and bed (100) while preventing objects such as baby bottles from falling therebetween. A wheel assembly (50) and brake structure (58) associated therewith may be added so that movement of the crib (10) may be selectively accomplished while inadvertant movement or travel of the crib (10) is prevented. |
