The refrigerator has a casing with a door hinged on one side wall and shelves mounted on the side walls to be height adjustable. The side walls have parallel horizontal planes with latching recesses into which lateral protrusions on the shelves can fit to hold the shelves. The sprung latch protrusions are mounted in profile parts (20) fitted onto the lateral edges of the shelves. The shelves can be gratings (22), each with at least one yoke-shaped curved end (24) via which it engages a corresp. shaped groove (28,30) in the profile part.
