Welding appts. for prodn. of hollow tubular products from flat plastic sheet (35) comprises: (i) two adjacent clamps (9,10) forming a clamping plane where the ends of the sheet (35) are welded together; where: (a) a bending mechanism (3) with a pulling element (33) for tube forming extends from a first tensioning point (34) to a second tensioning point (37) and has a pulling mechanism (39) to shorten the pulling element (33) and hence draw the sheet into a circular path.
