Hooks (9) are fastened to the moving part (4,5) of the safety gate and can catch in the clothing of the person on the conveyor. The hooks are formed on a flexible strap (8) which pref. is a hook and loop contact strip. Several straps may be fastened to the moving part and hang from it. The moving part is a horizontally pivoting arm on the underside of which the straps hang.
