Appts. for determining the quantity of condensible, radioactive compounds in gases, draws the gas through a series of at least two chilled vessels in which the condensible compounds are condensed, where the novelty is that the level of radioactivity is measured in each of the vessels, and the level in the final vessel indicates whether the radioactive compounds have been completely condensed in the previous vessels, and if so, the measurements from the previous vessels gives the quantity of condensible, radioactive compounds in the air sample.
