The ball gun carriage (15) is fitted to the armoured vehicle superstructure and is swivelably mounted in a spherical bearing in a holding plate (10). It comprises a retention bore for a hand gun barrel of a firearm located inside the vehicle. A vehicle door (1) comprises several spaced wall parts, i.e. a door wall (3) and an armoured element (5). The holding plate for the ball gun carriage is located on the vehicle inside armoured element. The gun carriage supporting may be located on the armoured element with an intermediate layer of a textile protection mat (6), between the armoured element and door inner wall (4).
