The method and device for use with adjuster screws used in the mechanical regulator for the injector in a diesel engine allows the adjustment and the countering to be undertaken with just one tool (1) and with one hand at the same time. The tool consists of an adjuster key (2) and a countering key (3) arranged coaxially to it. The adjuster key, and the countering key, are removably connected to suitably shaped holders (4,5) arranged, coaxially, within the body of the tool.
