To determine the forces acting on a conveyance means in a plastic injection moulding machine, a first static sensor is provided for determining at least the forces arising during the material preparation stage. An additional force sensor determines in essence the forces arising during the injection process and, once the first measurement reaches a threshold value F1, the task of measurement of the forces is transferred from the first static sensor to the additional sensor, the threshold value F1 also being used as the calibration value for the additional sensor. |
