PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a mounting structure for a door of an air bag device set at the assistant driver's seat side for an instrument panel. SOLUTION: An air bag unit main body 4 set at a front face of an assistant driver's seat for an instrument panel 1, is fixed to a structural member. A door 3 of an air bag device is provided with an upper end and a lower end skirt part 10 and 13. The upper end skirt part 10 is provided with a first thin wall bent part 11 and a second thin wall bent part 12, which act as a hinge, and is fixed to a resinous boss part 15 of the instrument panel 1 by each screw 7. The lower end skirt part 13 is provided with an U shaped hole a lower end of which is opened, and is fixed to a resinous boss 17 by each screw 7. The upper end skirt part is fixed first, and the lower end skirt is then fixed by making use of an opening for a glove box. |
