PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-sensitive pigment transfer system which uses a pigment acceptive material containing a compound generating acid by a method wherein a pigment layer is superimposed on a pigment donor element so as to come into contact with a polymer pigment image acceptive layer, and the polymer pigment image acceptive layer adds a proton again to a cationic pigment deprived of the proton. SOLUTION: A polymer pigment image acceptive layer operates as a matrix for a pigment deprived of a proton and a compound generating acid in exposure to UV radiation. When a transferred print is exposed with the UV radiation, acid which generates re-protonation of cationphilic pigment again and its reproduction, is generated. Cationic pigment deprived of the proton has the equilibrium state structural formula. In the formula, X, Y, and Z form a conjugation bond between nitrogen atoms, and are selected from CH, C-alkyl, N, etc., if necessary, it forms a part of an aromatic ring, and a heterocyclic ring; R is 1-10C alkyl group; R<1> and R<2> are phenyl or naphthyl, or 1-10C alkyl; and (n) is 0-11. |
