PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply manufacture coated magnetic recording powder without growth of grains when the coated magnetic recording powder is heat-treated by a method wherein the above-mentioned powder is composed of the center part, consisting of an SrO-n(Fex Cry Cuz Ti<u> Zrv Snw )2 O3 phase, and the surface part consisting of an SrO-n(Fex Cry Mgz Tiu Zrv Snw )2 O3 phase, and the surface part consisting of an SrO-n(Fex Cry Mgz Tiu Zrv Snw )2 O3 phase. SOLUTION: This coated magnetic recording powder is composed of the center part, consisting of SrO=n(Fex Cry Cuz Tiu Zrv SnW)2 O3 of (Cn=5 to 6, x+y+ z+u+v+w=1) phase, and the surface part consisting of SrO-n(Fex Cry Mgz Tiu Zrv Snw )2 O3 of (n=5 to 6, x+y+z+u+w=1) phase. The above- mentioned coated magnetic recording powder is calcined at the prescribed temperature for the prescribed time, the obtained calcined material is pulverized by a ball mill, fired at the prescribed temperature for the prescribed time in the atmospheric air or in an oxidizing atmosphere, finely pulverized and sintering prevention constituent powder is manufactured. As a result, grains are not grown when the coated magnetic recording powder is heated-treated. |
