PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-proof cable of excellent in fire-proof and productivity at low cost by forming a fire-proof layer comprising inorganic fiber reinforcement material such as a glass cloth and a clay layer, and a sheath in order on the outer side of a conductor. SOLUTION: An inorganic fiber reinforcement material 7a such as a glass cloth tape from a reinforcement material supply bobbin is supplied to be combined with a conductor 6 from a conductor supply bobbin to be vertically set to each other, and they are pressed by a former to form a coated line. Mix of clay and water such as kaolinite is extruded from a clay extruder onto an outer circumference of it to be pressed into gaps in the reinforcement material 7a for coating. This is heated and dried in a heat cylinder for forming a fire-proof layer 7 comprising a clay layer 7b formed around the reinforcement material 7a. In addition, polyethylene or the like is extruded from a sheath extruder to coat the outer circumference of the fire-proof layer 7 to form a sheath 8, thereby a fire-proof cable 5 is wound around a winding bobbin. |
