摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnesia-titania monolithic refractory material having excellent slag intrusion resistance against a lime ferrite slag by using a mixture essentially comprising a magnesia clinker and a magnesia-titania sintered body. SOLUTION: This monolithic refractory material is obtd. from a magnesia clinker and a magnesia-titania sintered powder as the main source materials and added with an alumina cement and pyrolyzed silica. As for the amt. of each component, the total amt. of MgO and TiO2 is >=93wt.% of the whole material, and MgO is included by >=50wt.% of the whole material, and TiO2 is included by >=2wt.% of the whole material. All of TiO2 substantially forms a spinel compd. having a compsn. of Mg2 TiO4 .
