PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather cover for an exhaust port easy to install and inexpensive which develops a soundproof action in the normal operation while allowing direct closure of the exhaust port in case of a fire. SOLUTION: A sound-absorbing material 22 is lined on the internal surface of a commercially available standard cover body 12 with the lower part of the cover body opened fully while a flameproof damper 17 comprising a plate- shaped sound absorbing plate 18 is pivoted in the cover body 12 so as to allow closing of an inlet opening 13 of the cover body 12 directly. The lower end of the flameproof damper 17 is fixed on a temperature fuse 21 and held to keep the inlet opening 13 open. The flameproof damper 17 shifts to be closed when the temperature fuse 21 is melted by a fire. |
