A lifting plate (2) is cast in the concrete unit, suitably linked to the reinforcement. The projecting end of the plate is holed to receive a sliding circular latching bolt (121) in the hooking ring (12) which is suspended from a crane by a handling ring (22) through the upper part (1201) of the hooking ring. The lower part (120) of the hooking ring forms the channel for the circular sliding latch (121) and is split to receive the projecting part of the anchor plate (2). The extended region (1202) of the channel prevents the ring from rotating relative to the anchor plate.
