PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily restore the performance of an exhaust ozone gas catalyst and to make the concn. of ozone at the exit of a catalyst tower at most a predetermined valus by detecting deterioration of the exhaust ozone gas catalytic layer by means of an ozone gas sensor and elevating the temp, of the catalytic layer by this signal. SOLUTION: Exhaust ozone gas is sampled from the intermediate stage of an exhaust gas decomposing catalyst layer 6 and it is introduced to an ozone gas sensor 8 to measure the exhaust ozone concn. When this exhaust ozone concn. exceeds 0.1ppm of the labor safety and hygienic standard, a signal is outputted from a control apparatus so as to elevate the set temp. of a heater 4 about 10 deg.C higher than the preset temp. Then, the activity to the catalyst is improved to be able to keep the exhaust gas concn. at most 0.1ppm. In addition, a display device 10 for displaying the time for exchanging the catalyst layer 6 based on this heating temp. and a signal of the ozone gas sensor 8 is provided. As the catalyst for decomposing and removing the exhaust ozone gas, a manganese compd. is used. |
