PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binder for electroceramic improved in wettability of the ceramic and sufficient in the flexibility and strength of a formed ceramic green sheet by using a quaternary ammonium salt of a (metha)acrylic acid/(metha)acrylate copolymer. SOLUTION: The (metha)acrylic acid/(metha)acrylate copolymer 50000-300000 in weight average molecular weight as a structural unit is obtained. The structural ratio of (metha)acrylic acid is 1-40wt.% in the case of using a nonaqeous solvent and 60-99wt.% in the case of using an aqueous solvent in accordance with a method to be used. The ceramic binder composed of the quaternary ammonium salt of the polymer is obtained by the neutralization reaction of a quaternary ammonium carbonate, which is obtained by allowing a tertiary amine to react with a dicarbonate, with the polymer. Each of a halogen atom and an alkali (earth) metal contained in the quaternary ammonium salt of the polymer is controlled to <=10ppm. |
