PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a foam having a high conductivity by a simple and easy process by impregnating a specifically treated open-celled foam with an aq. oxidizing agent soln. to oxidatively polymerize pyrrole and dehydrating and drying the foam. SOLUTION: An open-celled foam is immersed in an emulsion formed by dispersing pyrrole and hydrogen peroxide in a latex. taken out of the latex, dehydrated, immersed in an aq. oxidizing agent soln. to polymerize pyrrole, taken out of the soln., dehydrated, and dried to give a conductive foam. Thus pyrrole, which is expensive, can be efficiently polymerized without wasting it while using a relatively small amt. of an oxidizing agent, and a foam having a high conductivity can be obtd. by a simple and easy process. |
