PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ink jet recording and preparing a set of inks therefor, capable of giving a black colored image having a highly dark colored and a shape edge in the case of forming a color image by using inks of >=3 colors including the black color, without generating an irregular line expansion upon overlapping a black ink with an ink having a different color from black and a boundary blur upon printing two kinds of inks adjacent each other and capable of producing a clear image. SOLUTION: In the method of an ink jet recording capable of recording a color image by using the combination of at least inks of >=3 colors including a black color and by imparting these inks to the recording material with an ink jet method, a set of inks where the black ink contains at least a cationic compound and a pigment and the color inks other than the black ink contain at least an anionic dye or at least an anionic compound and a pigment, is used. |
