PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deformation with age of an undersurface groove to maintain condition where a block is firmly fixed by a tensile zone for a long time by setting the radius of curvature of a circular arc part of the undersurface groove greater than the radius of curvature of circular arc part of an upward projected part of the block in a state where the tensile zone is straight stretched. SOLUTION: A high load transmission V belt is laid over between specified, shifting pulleys to travel, to be wrapped around the pullys, and when an undersurface groove 7 of a tensile zone 1 is elastically deformed in the direction in which the radius of curvature R2 is reduced to pinch an upward projected part 12 of each block 8 in the longitudinal direction of the belt, the original radius of curvature R2 of the undersurface groove 7 is greater than the radius of curvature R1 of the upward projected part 12. Thus, the pressing force of both the end parts 7a, 7a of the undersurface groove 7 in the longitudinal direction of the belt against both end parts 12a, 12a of the upward projected part 12 in the longitudinal direction of the belt can be smaller than the conventional force, and strains generated in both the end parts 7a, 7a of the undersurface groove 7 can be restrained on small levels. Thus, wear and heat release at batch the end parts 7a, 7a of the undersurface groove 7 can be suppressed to avoid degradation of the quality of material.
|
