FIELD: jet engines. SUBSTANCE: incoming air flow is decelerated in air intake due to which it is compressed. Water fed to central body forms film. Air heated during compression interacts with this film and gets cooled due to evaporation of water. Air thus cooled and humidified flows to combustion chamber where fuel is burnt. Combustion products escape through nozzle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of engine at modes of injection of aerospace aircraft into near-earth orbit due to control of flow rate of water. |
