FIELD: metal working; applicable in rolling extremely fine threads in practical range of 0,25-2,0 mm. SUBSTANCE: thread-rolling head is designed so that the process of thread rolling is effected by two countermoving flat dies which are moved tangentially to blank by spring and taken thread is rolled on rotating blank due to contact friction. Excluded in the design of the offered thread-rolling head is commonly used mechanism for its opening as flat die passes, its contact with blank automatically discontinues, and the thread-rolling head is withdrawn to initial position. Provision is made of two versions of thread-rolling head. In the first case, use is made of the known flat dies of the unfolded screw type and working motion does not coincide with direction of turns, and dies of the unfolded ring type. Their working motion is effected in crossing directions, and direction of turns coincides with direction of motion. In this case, minor axial displacement of head occurs. Design allows fine adjustment of worked diameter. Application of the thread-rolling head with flat dies for rolling of extremely fine threads is alternative with respect to all known types of thread-rolling heads, having round threading rolls that limits minimization of diameter of rolling due to impossibility of their adequate bringing to the center or results in bending deformation of blank. EFFECT: provision of design of thread-rolling head with flat on- coming dies whose use has no limitation in minimization of size of worked diameter allows use of dies with working surface, both, of the unfolded screw type and unfolded ring type and variation of intervals between dies for the purpose of adjustment. |
