FIELD: protective devices, in particular, individual armor protection against firearm, blank weapon and other mechanical destruction means (fragmentation, cutting), can be used in armored jackets. SUBSTANCE: in load-bearing member for individual protective means, using a matrix having a cellular geometry, the matrix is made of tensile-flexible alloy, its blind holes are filled with a filler that is hydrodynamically equivalent to non-compressible fluid; the dimension of holes is selected in accordance with the range of calibers of firearm, and their depth is selected within 50 to 80% of the thickness of the load-bearing member, the thickness of walls between adjacent holes makes up at least 5% of the thickness of the load-bearing member and selected of the same order as the thickness of the blind hole bottom; the holes of the load-bearing member matrix are filled with a filler in the form of metallic and non-metallic capsules, [plastic and ceramic ones inclusive; water and various water-based solutions, as well as oils or other commercial fluids, are used as fillers of matrix holes; plastics, as well as plastics with additives of ceramics, are used as filler; light-weight alloys, aluminium alloys inclusive, are used as filler; ceramic tabs are used as filler. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability of protection against ballistic and piercing penetrations of bodies and items due to enhanced mechanical strength, stiffness and variation of geometry of the cellular matrix with employment of filler in cells; simplified design and enhanced adaptability to manufacture. |
