PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cement compsn. with which the occurrence of effluorescence and bleezing is lessened by compounding a specific water-soluble hemicellullose at a prescribed ratio with a cement base material. SOLUTION: The water-soluble hemicellullose contg. 2 to 50wt.% uronic acid and having a mol.wt. of about 10000 to 1000000 and esterification rate of <=50% is prepd. by heating and decomposing oilseeds, grains, crops for sugar manufacture, etc., contg. water insoluble fibers at about 40 to 160 deg.C under acidic and alkaline conditions and more particularly at pH near the isoelectric points of the respective proteins or decomposing and eluting those materials by an enzyme and extracting the water-soluble fractions and drying the extracted matter after an active carbon treatment, etc. Next, the hemicellullose is compounded at 0.01 to 1 pts.wt. (hereafter pts.) and more particularly about 0.1 to 0.3 pts. with 100 pts. cement base material consisting of cement and inorg. materials. Then, the cement compsn., lubricant, fluidizing agent, thickener and defoaming agent are mixed and a self-leveling material is produced. |
