An animal repellent material consists of a mouldable carrier contg. at least one homogeneously dispersed main active odour producer. The material is produced by homogeneously mixing the carrier and active agent,then extruding at suitable temp. and pressure, in an appts. comprising an extrusion unit having a motorised endless screw in a case having a nozzle at the end, and feed means for carrier and active agent.
