The window or door has a framework made of extruded plastics sections. It has external (3), middle (7) and interior (9) frame elements, holding three panes of glass (4,6,8). The glass panes have sufficiently wide air spaces (12,13) between them to allow circulation of air. There are slots (14) in the external frame to allow ventilation of the outermost air space and similar slots in the internal frame. Slots (15) in the intermediate frame allow air circulation between the interior and the exterior parts of the frame and have a greater opening area than the slots in the external frame.
