The porous sample (1) is initially saturated with an incompressible fluid, then injected (3, 5-8) with a second, of different known specific mass. The fluids from the sample are recovered in a diphase separator (9), associated with a weighing device (10). When the phase separator is initially filled with the first fluid, the mass of the separator is measured continuously. The excess first fluid is progressively evacuated (12,13), enabling automatic discrimination (14,15) between the contribution of the two phases to the mass variations. The variations are calculated as a function of the global saturation time of the sample. Initial saturation may be with water, which is displaced from the sample by an injection of oil. Alternatively, this procedure may be reversed.
|
