The striking plate comprises a support (2) mounted on a vehicle's bodywork by a fixing screw. A base plate (5) is supported on the bodywork. The striking plate also comprises two lateral flanks (8) and a front wall (6). A U-shaped wire (3) has curved end walls (11) which are pivotally mounted on the flanks by retaining rings (13). A spacer (17) is situated between both arms (12) of the wire, and is connected to the support. The spacer is gripped to avoid both arms to be brought together. The spacer also avoids the wire end walls to be dislocated from their respective housing (9) in case of strong traction forces being applied on the wire.
