The imaging process for x-radiography includes a mobile detector (D) sensitive to radiation, receiving the radiation from the x-ray source (S) after passage through the region of the patient's body to be examined. Sampling is undertaken in order to determine parameters relating to the appts. Images are taken with the source and detector in a number of predetermined fixed positions around the patient. Projections are formed using the information from these sampled images, and the projections are combined in order to form a more detailed image of the region of the patient's body.
