<p>The coin handling mechanism has a box (1) defining an internal chamber (2). There are three openings (3,4,5) in the box: the first (3) allows insertion of coins (100), and the other two provide an exit to allow the coin to pass through the box to the collector below. A slide (6) is positioned inside the chamber and has a transverse coin holding slot (7). The slide moves between a position where the holding slot is immediately below the opening where the coin is inserted and the first and second opening (3,4) are in communication, and a second position where the coin is free to roll transversely down the slope of the coin holding slot and fall through the exit slot (5). A spring (8) temporarily holds the coin as the slide moves from one position to the other.</p> |
