The tank includes a steel cylindrical body (3) with two hemispheric lids and surrounded by a polyethylene envelope (6). A sealed gap is thus defined between the cylinder wall and the envelope. Tank filling is carried out using equipment (8) provided on top of the body at the highest level when the tank is buried. A humidity detector (11) is placed at the bottom of the body in the gap between the envelope and the body. a cable (12) connects the detector to an indicating light (13).
