<p>The control mechanism is for opening a holding clamp, in particular a piece carrying clamp for a machine tool, containing a sleeve (13) moveable in relation to the axis (3) of the clamp and whose displacement provokes the opening or the closing of the latter. It contains a plate (27) fixed to the structure (5) and a plate (22) rotatable in relation to the structure, this being rotated by a jack (24). Three balls (33) are positioned between the two plates (22,27) in a way to roll on the rolling surfaces provided on the plates. The surfaces having a form so that the rolling of the balls (33) between the two plates, provoked by the rotating plate (22), drives with axial movement both the mobile plate (22), and in its turn the sleeve (13) which controls the opening and closing of the clamp (15).</p> |
