摘要 <p>The self-propelled autoguided boat is intended to follow a particular trajectory or to go to a particular point defined by the operator. The boat has a propulsion unit (2) and a governor (3) for the engine driving the propulsion unit. The engine is controlled by a computer (4) receiving information from a position determining module (5) fitted to the boat to determine position and speed data continuously in real-time. The boat also carries a module (6) to detect obstacles. The position relative the obstacle is determined along with the speed of the obstacle and used to guide the boat round the obstacle. The roll, pitch and yaw of the boat are also measured, and used to control the engine and the automatic stabilisers to reduce their effect on the boat. Global Positioning Satellites are used for navigation.</p>
