The present invention relates to a method of treating and/or preventing renal disease with the coadministration of an ACE inhibitor and an AII receptor antagonist. The present invention also relates to a method for protection of renal structure and/or renal function with the coadministration of an ACE inhibitor and an AII receptor antagonist. The combination is also useful in preventing renal injury and protecting glomerular structure.
