Flexible core with suction valve for myoelectric artificial arm or leg

The core is flexibly machined for attachment to the stump of a limb which has been greased. Pressure on a knob activates the valve to draw air out of the core. When the stump is firmly seated therein, the valve is closed by release of the knob. Control electrodes for the limb are worked into the core with silicone for airtight sealing. The valve is integrated into the base of the core with the knob for opening and closure.
